Nina Maria Learning Center Shines in Basketball, Volleyball, and Taekwondo District Meet

With Coach Edgar P. Duo

On September 26, 2025, Niña Maria Learning Center proudly joined the South District Sports Event for the very first time. It was a day full of excitement because three major sports – basketball, volleyball, and taekwondo – were held on the same day.

In Basketball, the Niña Maria Learning Center team played its first game at Nazareth Sport Zone against Oro Christian Grace School. They lost the match, and some players felt tired. At first, they lost hope, but with determination and the support of their teachers and classmates, they kept going. On the second day, they faced Lourdes College. This time, the players were stronger, and with teamwork and spirit, they won the game with a score of 26 – 20. Charlibien Madison Q. Amoncio shone as the star player, and the whole team celebrated their victory.

NMLC Volleyball Team
In Volleyball, the games were held at Indahag Elementary School. NMLC’s first opponent was Camaman-an Elementary School. The game started late in the afternoon, but the team showed patience, discipline, and teamwork throughout the match.

In Taekwondo, the competition took place at Bulua National High School. Niña Maria Learning Center athletes displayed courage, discipline, and respect in their sparring events. Crystal Hersh Lustre emerged as the winner, earning honor and recognition for the school.

It was also heartwarming that on the first day, NMLC teachers came to support the basketball and taekwondo players. Their cheers lifted the athletes’ spirits and gave them the strength to continue fighting for victory.

This first District Meet will always be remembered as a moment of teamwork for Niña Maria Learning Center.

For the first time, NMLC joined, fought, and won – One school, One spirit, One victory.
