Since February 2, 2023, on the death anniversary of St. Jeanne de Lestonnac, Foundress of the Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady (ODN), Niña Maria Learning Center (NMLC) has been celebrating the Eucharist monthly. This date also marked the official launch of the school's monthly Masses, which followed the First Communion of the then Grade 3 and 4 pupils on December 8, 2022.
The monthly Eucharist primarily seeks to nurture the faith of NMLC students and future generations, creating opportunities for the children to serve as acolytes and choir members. More importantly, it aims to foster a deeper understanding and love for the Eucharist within and beyond the school community.
While the general schedule is every first Friday of the month, the celebration of the Eucharist is adjusted to special occasions such as February 2, Ash Wednesday, May 15 (the Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Jeanne de Lestonnac), August 15 (the Feast of the Assumption), and November 21 (the Presentation of the Child Mary), the school's foundation anniversary.
This school year, the first Friday Masses have been dedicated in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, enhancing the pastoral care for the NMLC community. Through this initiative, the school hopes to guide its students to grow in the Catholic faith, rooted in a love for God while gradually developing a sense of solidarity with and for others.
