A Memorable First Communion at San Antonio de Padua Church

On December 8, 2025, the Grade 3 pupils and one Grade 4 pupil experienced a very special and meaningful event – their First Holy Communion – held at San Antonio de Padua Church in Nazareth. This day was extra special because it was also the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which made the celebration more solemn and important.

At exactly 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon, the pupils gathered at the church for their first and final practice. They were supposed to practice on December 5, but it was canceled because a storm arrived. Even though they had only one practice, the pupils behaved very well and followed all the instructions carefully. They showed discipline and respect inside the church.

The Eucharist started at exactly 3:00 p.m. The pupils formed straight lines and walked slowly and quietly during the entrance procession. The boys wore neat white long sleeves and black pants, while the girls wore white dresses with flower crown on their heads. All were holding candles, which symbolized the light of Christ in their hearts. During the Mass, each pupil received Holy Communion for the first time with great focus and reverence.

Parents, teachers, the ODN Sisters, and church members watched proudly as the children completed this important step in their faith journey. The First Communion at San Antonio de Padua Church was truly a memorable and blessed experience that this group of First Communicants will always remember.
